THE TEAM
Neil E. Schmidt
President and Senior Analyst

As founder and President of Resource Systems (formerly Consultant Systems Ltd., Inc.), Neil Schmidt had a vision to provide his clients with objective and affordable technical counsel on insurance design and acquisition. Today, he brings more than 20 years of insurance industry experience to the company and specializes in both Property & Casualty and Group Benefits.

Neil has a BA from Ohio Northern University, with R&R Newkirk and CIC designations. He is currently working toward an additional Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.


Brenda K. Bergl
Director of Marketing and Analyst

Brenda Bergl was Resource Systems' (formerly CSL, Inc.) first associate. With 15 years experience in insurance, group benefits, and Section 125 support and marketing, she manages general marketing efforts and benefits research and acquisition.

Brenda has a BS in Business Administration (Finance & Insurance) from Ball State University and has the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.
